Huananzhi X99 BIOS: Disable XHCI Handoff
Before You Start
Legacy control PC motherboards (Huananzhi X99 and similar) driving many USB hubs may drop nodes during mirror sessions when XHCI handoff settings conflict with dense hub trees.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Enter BIOS on control PC; document current USB/XHCI settings.
- Disable problematic XHCI handoff if nodes drop under load (test one change at a time).
- Use rear motherboard USB ports or add-in USB 3.0 controllers for hub uplinks.
- Disable USB selective suspend in Windows power settings.
- Size control PC PSU for hub inrush—not just CPU TDP.
Troubleshooting Checklist
- Nodes drop only under sync control: hub controller reset—upgrade industrial hub.
- Works with 20 nodes but not 40: add second USB host controller card.
